Originally by: Gabriel Thal One thing that I am sure of is this. The game would probably follow a logical order something like this...in my opinion that is:
1) Galactic war. All systems become 0.0 as a huge galactic war errupts and all the races fight each other. Concord is wiped out and the galaxy threatens to become a lawless waste.
2) While all this is happening, the EVE Gate bursts back into life and highly technologically advanced ships stream into New Eden. The Terrans demand that the other races fall back into line under the rule of the Terran Empire...which is in turn still ruled over by the mega corporations of old.
3) Huge war where all 4 and maybe even the Jovians fight for their independance. A large area of space is lost however before a peace treaty is signed, ending the conflict. Slowly, things return to normal and there is a 5th playable race.
4) Attacks from an unknown source are plauging the 0.0 sectors, rimward of the core of New Eden. Player Corporations are hit hard, and forced to withdraw from the rim territories closer to Empire Space.
5) Slowly player corps are pushed out of Nul Sec and into Empire under relentless attack from this unknown source. Tensions rise, people blame the Terrans and another war errupts. Casualties are huge and once again New Eden becomes a war zone.
6) Finally, as New Eden falls in on itself, the aliens attack, taking advantage of the infighting to make huge gains into empire space.
Thats just something I think could happen, not saying it is, just saying this is my opinion.
If we look at the current track record, what is probably going to happen is that the story will stay virtually stagnant indefinately. There will be some sparing and meaningless encounters with actors in apocolypses who talk like British lords and make weak protests of revenge when you kill and loot them. The jove will never be developed, despite the fertile narrative they inhabit. There will be yet more big promises of storyline events that will remain half finished.
